Abstract
Fructus Schisandrae, the fruit of Schisandra chinensis Baillon, has been traditionally used as anti-diabetic agent in Asia but no sufficient data support this usage. The present study investigated which fraction(s) of its extract had anti-diabetic effect and its mechanism was explored.
