Abstract
Panaxatriol saponins (PTS) protected dopaminergic neurons and ameliorated behavioral impairment caused by MPTP. PTS suppressed inflammation and mitochondrial stress, but not endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress caused by MPTP through increasing thioredoxin-1 expression.
