Abstract
- ZnO-SiO2 nanocomposites were synthesized using in situ and ex situ loading process.
- Humidity sensing properties were evaluated in 11-98%RH range.
- RH sensor utilizing in situ process shows 3.5 times better sensitivity.
- Sensor exhibits rapid response/recovery time, high stability and low hysteresis.
- Complex impedance spectra were used to describe the sensing mechanism.
