Abstract
- TiO2 particles surface modification using a capacitive and inductive (with stirring) couple reactors were proposed.
- The stirring is a key factor to avoid particle agglomeration and to obtain a more controllable and homogeneous coating.
- The stability improvement is directly related to the particle size and Z potential; specially by Z potential.
- A higher input power and longer polymerization time might favor the polymer formation with a higher degree of crosslinking.
- The surface modification using ICP have the same stability in water as TiO2 particles with the dispersant based on HMDSO.
