Abstract
- Acridine orange and silica nanoparticles facilitated novel fluorescent hollow microcapsules are achieved.
- Microcapsules do not limit intercalation of acridine orange with DNA.
- AO exists in monomeric and aggregated form in the microcapsules.
- It could sense DNA in the concentration range ng mLâ1.
