Abstract
The turbidity of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) solutions was decreased with increasing the polysilicic acid concentrations, indicating that the polysilicic acid inhibits the precipitation of CaCO3. Changes in the turbidity of CaCO3 solutions with respect to time in the presence and absence of various total concentrations of silicic acid. The ion strength is 0.3Â M as [Na+].
