Abstract
The phase behavior and surface morphology changes of binary monolayers of Palmitic acid and DPPE have been investigated using a combination of LB technique and AFM at the air/water interface. The results showed that surface pressure values, intermolecular proportions, distances and interaction forces as well as subphase pH have significant influence on thermodynamic and morphological properties of the binary systems.
