Abstract
⺠A new functionalized silica sorbents were synthesized and characterized. ⺠The silica-based sorbents were used in the sorption process of Pt(IV) ions. ⺠Excellent adsorption capacity with respect to Pt(IV) ions was confirmed. ⺠Quantitative desorption of platinum from the loaded sorbent was observed.
