Abstract
⺠Paper sludge calcined at 800 °C has amorphous phase with high phosphate removal ability. ⺠Phosphate removal reaction is an endothermic and spontaneous process. ⺠Phosphate removal depends on the formation of calcium phosphate (brushite). ⺠Phosphate removal reaction is an endothermic process.
