Abstract
⺠We investigated the coagulation-dispersion and electrophoretic mobility of three types of latex spheres in the presence of imogolite nano-tubes. ⺠The mechanisms of imogolite-induced coagulation are charge neutralization and sweep coagulation. ⺠Charge neutralization takes place around the isoelectric point, whereas sweep coagulation works at higher imogolite dosage. ⺠The magnitude of imogolite charge affects the efficiency of sweep coagulation. ⺠Charge neutralization is controlled by the imogolite dosage per the latex surface area.
