Abstract
⺠Water flushing of crude oil from kaolinite depends on oil and aqueous properties. ⺠An oil prone to asphaltene precipitation leaves substantial adhering residuals. ⺠A stable oil leaves less residual, responsive to flush salinity and pH. ⺠Oil removal is favored by high salinity and pH shift from neutral conditions.
