Abstract
► Butyl cyanoacrylate in water miniemulsions were prepared for the first time via the PIC emulsification methods. ► Influence of formulation and process parameters on droplet size and monomer conversion was depicted. ► Anionic miniemulsion polymerization of BCA droplets was successfully performed. ► We synthesized functional nanoparticles suitable for encapsulation of sensitive molecules.
