Abstract
The fractal dimension of an aggregate formed in the slip regime depends on the aggregate trajectory dimensionality, which is shown to be a function of the diffusive Knudsen number. The diffusive Knudsen number decreases with the aggregate size, whereas the value of aggregate trajectory dimensionality increases tending to that characteristic for the Brownian one. This is the reason of the aggregate fractal dimension decreases with the progress of the process. The model is verified using the experimental data of soot aggregates.
