Abstract
Temperature dependence of critical micelle concentration as well as the sphere-to-rod critical micelle transition has been studied by using densitometry and sound velocity determinations as a function of molality. In order to understand the properties of the globular micelles the apparent molar quantities like the volume and adiabatic compressibility have been determined and discussed in comparison with the corresponding spherical micelles. An inverted U-shape for the sphere-to-rod transition was obtained.
