Abstract
A superhydrophobic poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA)/silver thiolate composite has been fabricated by a simple spraying method. Compared with the intrinsically hydrophilic pure PMMA, the as-prepared PMMA composite coating displayed a superhydrophobic property. And the UV–vis spectra displayed a notable absorption of light in the ultraviolet range (UVA light), which made the composite potential material for ultraviolet absorption applications.
