Abstract
The fractal dimension of a formed aggregate depends on both the masses and fractal dimensions of approaching clusters and the degree of their mutual penetration. The hydrodynamic model of aggregates having different fractal dimension as compared to that of the constituents is presented, in which the aggregate is considered as composed of impermeable spheres equivalent to the primary aggregates, treated as monomers. Some experimental data are quoted to support the obtained dependences. They are aqueous solid-liquid systems disaggregating under concentration first to the primary aggregates and then to primary particles.
