Abstract
Sulphonation reaction was applied on a novel hydrogenated elastomer poly[styrene-b-(ethylene/butylene)-b-ethylene] (SEBE). The colloidal solution of the sulphonated elastomer (sSEBE) was prepared and multilayers composed of sSEBE and TiO2 colloids were fabricated on quartz substrate by the electrostatic adsorption self-assembly technique. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) data indicated that TiO2 had been successfully constructed on the surface. The surface morphology of TiO2/sSEBE multilayers different with preparation conditions was studied by atomic force microscopy (AFM). As a result, uniform tiny particles were obtained overspread the surface.
