Abstract
We report dendrite structures formed on the polymer honeycomb templates containing FeCl3 seed crystals contacted with water solutions of K4Fe(CN)6ยท3H2O (yellow prussiate). We related the found pronounced dendrite morphology to the combination of the chemical garden growth mechanism with a solutal Marangoni surface-tension instability.
