Abstract
⺠A kneading method to complex quercetin with plain or octyl-functionalized MCM-41. ⺠Hydrogen bonding interactions with Si-OH groups are strengthened by octyl chains. ⺠Quercetin release profiles were estimated by diffusion through a semi-permeable membrane. ⺠Photostability and antioxidant activities were improved by complexation.
