Abstract
⺠Drug-bile salt interactions were explored by micellization and spectroscopic studies. ⺠Mixed micelles formed at lower cmc values, thus enhancing the bioavailability of drugs. ⺠Synergistic interactions have been observed for all drug-bile salt systems. ⺠Stoichiometric ratio of these complexes estimated to be 1:2 from spectroscopic studies. ⺠The binding constants for drug-bile salt complexes have been determined.
