Abstract
⺠Ag nanowires were synthesized by using only water, silver ions and citrate. ⺠No external seeds or templates were applied. ⺠Molar ratio of silver ions to citrate, pH, and temperature were critical. ⺠Also useful for the synthesis of monodisperse Ag nanoparticles.
