Abstract
Regular deswelling (upper path), with micelle-free core being gradually converted into dense, micelle-rich surface phase as the gel deswells, and irregular deswelling (lower path), where the core is ruptured and a balloon-like structure enveloping a liquid-filled core, devoid of polymer material, is formed.
