Abstract
The inter-relationship of surface tension σ, molar volume V , and critical temperature TcTc has been examined using experimental values for eighteen liquid metals. Hard-sphere diameters a correlate with the equationa5/2=8.9733×10−19V(σ/Tc)1/4−1.0459×10−25.a5/2=8.9733×10−19V(σ/Tc)1/4−1.0459×10−25. Unknown TcTc may be estimated using surface tension and liquid density values.
