Abstract
⺠DivIVA is localized at cell division sites and cell poles. ⺠DivIVA binds to the concave surface of curved membranes. ⺠Binding of DivIVA to curved membranes is an intrinsic property of the protein. ⺠A few simple rules can explain binding of proteins to negatively curved membranes. ⺠Binding of DivIVA to curved membranes was modelled using Monte-Carlo simulations.
