Abstract
⺠Viral microRNAs engage atypical host ribonucleases for their nuclear biogenesis. ⺠Lytic γ-herpesvirus infection drives global mRNA depletion and inhibits RNA export. ⺠The KSHV PAN RNA is stabilized by protein binding and an intramolecular RNA clamp.
