Abstract
⺠A functional ubiquitin-proteasome system is required for efficient Dengue virus RNA translation and/or replication. ⺠Localization of the Dengue virus capsid protein to lipid droplets may temporally regulate virus replication and assembly. ⺠Dengue virus hijacks components of the host cell lipid metabolism and utilizes autophagy to maximize replication. ⺠The unfolded protein response is triggered and exploited by Dengue virus in a temporally regulated manner. ⺠Dengue virus evolved countermeasures to overcome the restriction imposed by the innate antiviral defense.
