Abstract
⺠Fusobacterium nucleatum enhances Porphyromonas gingivalis invasion of gingival epithelial cells. ⺠P. gingivalis and/or F. nucleatum colocalizes with lipid rafts. ⺠MβCD significantly inhibits host cell invasion by these pathogens. ⺠P. gingivalis SerB does not play a major role in this fusobacterial enhancement.
