Abstract
The CeY-S samples prepared by solid-state ion-exchange reaction shows high sulfur uptakes. We propose a mechanism for the reaction system. When Ce/NH4 < 0.63, most of Ce(IV) species is inserted into the zeolite phase. When Ce/NH4 > 0.63, a parts of Ce species can be inserted into the zeolite phase, and the residual Ce species change to CeO2 phase.
