Abstract
- We develop a CFD-based evolutionary algorithm for design of baffled fluid distributor.
- Target flow distribution among parallel channels can be achieved using the algorithm.
- Different target curves are realized with acceptable increase in pressure drop.
- Partition wall is a useful complementary for some extreme operating conditions.
- We redefine maldistribution as any flow distribution that is not the optimal.
