Abstract
- Silkworms' feces used for the first time to produce activated carbon via chemical activation.
- TiCl4, KCl and CrCl3 are newly used in chemical activation.
- TiCl4 produced AC of area of 2000Â m2/g.
- This may open the field of enclosing oxides of fine particle size into the texture of microporous activated carbon.
- AC/TiCl4 showed high adsorption capacity for MB and Cd2+.
