Abstract
⺠A small amount of a drag reducing agent in a stirred liquid reduces the velocity fluctuations. ⺠This results in a decrease of power draw and an increase in system mixing time. ⺠In the case of a reaction accompanied by product precipitation, a significant change of particle size distribution can take place depending on agitation intensity.
