Abstract
⺠A new design for oil-water separation. ⺠The characteristics of tangential and axial velocity profiles in VTPS have been acquired. ⺠Optimum installation angle and number of guide vanes exist. ⺠The split ratio increases to the critical split ratio as the oil-content in the water-rich stream reaches the reinjection standard.
