Abstract
► Mathematical model for Co2+ ion extraction using HFSLM operated in recycling mode. ► Di-(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid (D2EHPA) was used as an extractant. ► Counter-ion (H+) transport resistance has been incorporated in the model. ► Mass balance for D2EHPA has also been considered in the model. ► Metal-complex diffusivity (Dm) through the membrane phase was the only adjustable parameter.
