Abstract
⺠Studies of oxygen bubbles in high temperature molten salt have been conducted using transparent furnace. ⺠Bubble sizes and rise velocities increase with an increase in oxygen sparging rate. ⺠Bubble sizes appear to be ellipsoidal in shape and bubble size distributions are normally distributed. ⺠An oxygenation model has been used to calculate oxygen mass transfer coefficients. ⺠The diffusivity values were calculated based on physics of bubbles and systematic properties through three different correlations.
