Abstract
► Studies of oxygen bubbles in high temperature molten salt have been conducted using transparent furnace. ► Bubble sizes and rise velocities increase with an increase in oxygen sparging rate. ► Bubble sizes appear to be ellipsoidal in shape and bubble size distributions are normally distributed. ► An oxygenation model has been used to calculate oxygen mass transfer coefficients. ► The diffusivity values were calculated based on physics of bubbles and systematic properties through three different correlations.
