Abstract
⺠We proposed a generalized method for the synthesis and design of reactive distillation columns. ⺠Decision variables are searched sequentially to find the optimum process configuration. ⺠Feed splitting is also considered in this method. ⺠It is simple in principle and robust to the initial process configuration chosen.
