Abstract
ⶠThis work presents the modeling and validation of a CO2 capture pilot absorber. ⶠThe column is operated with monoethanolamine (MEA). ⶠThe calculation of the overall mass transfer coefficient is also based on wetted-wall experiments. ⶠThe results show that the outlet amine loading can be predicted with a 10% deviation. ⶠA heat loss to the atmosphere term is included in the model.
