Abstract
⺠CB1R plays a crucial role in drug rewarding properties and the motivation to drug-seeking behavior. ⺠CB2R modulates cocaine-rewarding properties, although the mechanism involved must be clarified. ⺠FAAH inhibitors show no abuse liability and may be potential therapeutic agents for drug addiction. ⺠A genetic tool is now available to study the role of 2-AG without changes in other endocannabinoid elements.
