Abstract
Let p>3 be a prime, Ï be a Dirichlet character modulo p, and let L(s,Ï) denote the Dirichlet L-function. Let nâ¥1 be an integer. In this paper we study the mean values of2pâ1âÏmodpÏ(â1)=â1Ï(c)L(1,Ï)L(n,ϯ)and2pâ1âÏmodpÏ(â1)=1Ï(c)L(2,Ï)L(n,ϯ) for c=1,2,3,4, and gave a few identities, by using short interval character sums and Bernoulli polynomials.
