Abstract
⺠Neoselachian Ptychodus species in NW-Germany are reviewed. ⺠Taphonomy, facies and palaeoenvironment were studied at several sites. âºÂ Teeth are useful for late Cretaceous phylo- and biostratigraphy. ⺠Tooth sizes correlate with increasing inoceramid shell development. âºÂ Reworked teeth support palaeogeographical reconstructions.
