Abstract
► We analysed the palynological organic matter of the Upper Member of the Agrio Formation, Neuquén Basin. ► Changes in the organic matter composition reflected changes in the palaeoenvironmental conditions. ► Palynological results were integrated with invertebrates and stratigraphy sequence analysis. ► Fluorescence observations permitted infer hydrocarbon generating potential.
