Abstract
► A new hybrid scheme is modeled which enhances gas turbine film cooling. ► Different exit configurations of the hybrid scheme were examined across different BR. ► Hybrid schemes spread the secondary flow to remain attached the downstream surfacse. ► Hybrid square scheme produces the highest overall cooling effectiveness at high BR. ► Hybrid square and trapezoid schemes provide the lowest pressure coefficient.
