Abstract
► The use of CAES with using the high compressor discharge energy is analyzed. ► Performance of adiabatic CAES is calculated and compared with conventional systems. ► This system offered relatively high energy storage efficiency. ► The effect of variation of m˙, Ta, and Rc on some performance parameters is analyzed. ► The results showed superior performance of the adiabatic CAES system.
