Abstract
► Two mathematical models to predict the complete defluidization time were proposed for biomass FBC. ► In model analyzes, the inorganic chemistry of biomass showed the most significant effect. ► The fluidizing air velocity showed a strong influence among the observed operating variables. ► Fairly well to good predictabilities were obtained from the model verifications.
