Abstract
► The turbulent forced convection in ribbed channels with nanofluids is studied. ► Ribs are mounted on the principal walls and have square and rectangular shapes. ► The highest heat transfer coefficient is detected at relative pitches of 8 and 10. ► The highest required pumping power values are calculated at a pitch equal to 10. ► Heat transfer coefficients and pumping power increase as particle fraction increases.
