Abstract
For evaluating the energy performance of buildings, this paper proposed a multiple attribute decision making approach, Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution, to rank the evaluated buildings. Evaluating and ranking the energy performance of 47 office buildings in Taiwan is served as a case study to illustrate the procedure of the proposed approach.
► This paper uses TOPSIS to rank the energy performance of buildings.► The energy performances of 47 office buildings in Taiwan were ranked.► TOPSIS is efficient for ranking the energy performance of buildings.
