Abstract
► Copper has anti-bacterial ability but poor wettability. ► A surface treating method was developed to improve the copper evaporator wettability. ► The hydrophilically treated evaporator yields a higher cooling capacity than the untreated one. ► The cooling capacity increases with increasing indoor air humidity.
