Abstract
⺠The performance of metal foam-wrapped tube bundle is numerically studied. ⺠Hydro-dynamics parameters and foam characteristics are systemically changed. ⺠Metal foam heat exchanger performance is better than that of the conventional design. ⺠A thin metal foam layer significantly improves the heat exchanger performance. ⺠The effect of porosity and permeability on the performance is investigated.
