Abstract
Liver toxicity is a serious concern for the thiazolidinediones family of drugs which includes pioglitazone. This study emphasizes the potential of redox nanoparticle, RNPN, conjugated with a powerful reactive oxygen species scavenger TEMPO which aids in suppression of the oxidative stress created by pioglitazone metabolites in the liver while simultaneously increasing its anti-tumor potential.267
