Abstract
The ultrathin two-dimensional MnO2nanosheets have been successfully demonstrated as nano-sized photothermal therapy (PTT) agents for ultra-sensitive stimuli-responsive theranostics of cancer. The MnO2 nanosheets exhibited fast disintegration property and releasing of Mn2+ in response to the mild acidic and elevated reducing conditions of tumor microenvironment, which could enhance the performances of T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging. Furthermore, the MnO2 nanosheets with high photothermal-conversion performance, medical diagnostic-imaging and tumor ablation capability could extend the novel functionalities of inorganic 2D nanomaterial in biomedicine field.346
