Abstract
⺠Chicken feather protein (CFP) hydrolysate had rich protein, mineral and amino acid contents. ⺠CFP had potential to prevent excessive pH changes and foaming. ⺠CFP provide smaller uniform pellet formation in during fermentation. ⺠CFP can result in higher l-lactic acid production than yeast extract and ammonium sulfate. ⺠CFP is very cheap, since it is produced from waste chicken feathers.
